About us
Gayatri Krishnamurthy one the Trio Sisters of Chennai, is an accomplished and professional artiste and instructor in Bharatanatyam.
She along with her sisters, were the first and senior most disciples of Dhananjayans and have rigorously trained under them in the widely practiced Kalakshetra style.
Gayatri has also had her training under Padmabhushan, Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan, especially focussing on the evocative nuances of Bharatanatyam

Gayatri Krishnamurthy one the Trio Sisters of Chennai, is an accomplished and professional artiste and instructor in Bharatanatyam.
She along with her sisters, were the first and senior most disciples of Dhananjayans and have rigorously trained under them in the widely practiced Kalakshetra style.
Gayatri has also had her training under Padmabhushan, Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan, especially focussing on the evocative nuances of Bharatanatyam dealing with expression. Along with her sisters Ms. Radhika Shurajit and Shobana Bhalchandra, she has performed all over India and at several International festivals at Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Germany, USSR, USA, Iraq, Middle East.
Having had her initiation to this dance form at a very early age, Gayatri had the benefit of performing in all the major productions. Later the Trio sisters started their school in Chennai and Coimbatore, where they were training students in Bharatanatyam.
Gayatri moved to Sydney in the year 2000, she has been teaching dance ever since. Her dance school, Thrayee is a registered institution in Sydney. She has performed for several organizations here in Sydney. She has performed for various festivals and organizations in Sydney including the Hindu Council, India Tourism Office, Sri Venkateswara temple, Indian Welfare Association & Resourceful Australian Indian Association. Gayatri has also performed in several events organized by local Councils, which include street festivals and multicultural shows. Thrayee School’s first student had her arangetram (first maiden performance) in February 2007, which received very good reviews in the press. She has also given talks to community groups on Indian culture and Bharathanatyam
Radhika Shurajit, eldest of the Trio Sisters, is the first and senior most disciple of The Dhananjayans and Padmabhushan Smt. Kalanidhi Narayanan.
Radhika is a professional performer and teacher of Bharatanatyam with over 30 years of rich experience. Along with her sisters Ms. Gayathri Krishnamurthy and Ms. Shobana Bhalchandra, she has performed all over India and at several International festivals at Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Germany, Russia, USA, Iraq, Middle East, South America and Australia.
The name “Radhika Shurajit” has been synonymous with her internationally popular weekly Television program “Thaka Dhimi Tha”, which airs on Jaya TV satellite channel every Sunday between 8.00 and 8.30 AM. This highly acclaimed program has now completed eight years of broadcast and has been widely watched by dance Gurus as well as dance students all over the world.

Radhika, who is the Vice-President of the International Dance Alliance of South India, has also been presenting many Lecture Demonstrations and Art workshops the world over.
She has been imparting training to many students from India and abroad in her own institution - ‘Thrayee’ School of Bharatanaatyam in Chennai.
